Book of abstracts

The abstracts accepted by the Scientific Committee will be included in a Book of Abstracts with an ISBN-number.

The abstract is an important part of the paper and it must allow the reviewers to make an intelligent decision about its acceptance. Typical composition of the abstract includes: Motivation for the paperObjectivesWhat was doneHow it was done and validatedMajor results and Conclusions. The abstract must be formatted using the text format (no equations, no graphs and no plots) and must be written clearly and in good English. The length of the abstract must be in the range between 1000-2000 characters as well as no more than one page (title, affiliation, keywords and references are not included in the characters’ length limit). The detailed guidelines for the abstract are presented in the attached below abstract template.

Up to 10 days after Author’s abstract submission, the Authors will be notified about the decision of the Scientific Committee. After receiving abstract acceptance letter, the Authors are invited to prepare full paper for review.

IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES)

All papers presented during the conference and accepted by the Scientific Committee will be included in the volume of conference proceedings published in the international scientific journal IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES), which is abstracted e.g. in Conference Proceedings Citation Index (Thomson Reuters, Web of Science), Compendex, Scopus Inspec and Chemical Abstracts Service (15 points in 2015 in Poland*). A maximum of two articles per author is accepted.

IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES) is a journal dedicated to archiving conference proceedings in all areas related to Environment, Energy and Earth Sciences. The journal covers the technological and scientific aspects as well as social and economic matters.

IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES) have numerous advantages:

  • Open access: all documents will be free to read and download.
  • Immediate citability: every document will be identified by authorship, title, and all relevant metadata for indexing and abstracting, e.g. like a DOI enabling the cross-referencing.
  • High visibility: all documents will be indexed in main databases: Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Science (Thomson Reuters, Web of Science), Scopus, GeoBase, Georef, Compendex, Inspec, Chemical Abstracts Service, NASA Astrophysics Data System and INIS (International Nuclear Information System).

The papers must report original, previously unpublished findings in the fields of energy, fuels and environment protection. Papers must be written in good English and should clearly state purpose of the work and include: the introduction, methodology, results and main conclusions. The single paper lenght will be in the range of 5-10 pages.

Please, remember that the active participation in the SEED Conference determines the possibility of full paper publication!

In Poland, authors of papers published in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES) receive 15 points per paper (accordingly to the directive of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, papers published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings, which are included in the recognized international database, receive the number of points corresponding to the lowest-scoring publications in the list A – i.e. 15 points). Authors receive  points after indexing their papers in Web of Science database (It takes typically a few months).

Other journals

If you are interested in publishing your article in a journal from below list, please indicate in the registration form the name of preffered journal. Please note, that abstracts (and then full papers) will be pre-selected by the Guest Editor to select appropriate contributors who can provide a well-balanced and attractive overview of research in the field according the journal’s scope. The Guest Editor will come back to you with an information whether your contribution is recommended for submission in the chosen journal from the JCR or not.

Earlier submissions are encouraged, and papers will be published online as soon as they have been accepted for publication. All invited papers will be subject to the same rigorous peer-review process as regular submissions to the journal, and upon publication each author team will be provided with a free pdf file of the printed article.

Please, remember that the active participation in the SEED Conference determines the possibility of full paper publication!

The below presented journals are just recommended for papers submission. Neither the SEED Conference organizers or Editorial Board of journals DO NOT guarantee that your paper will be accepted. All papers must be original, attractive and of excellent quality. The charge for the manuscript submission is NOT covered by the conference fee.

The journal’s coverage reflects the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of environmental science, recognizing the wide-ranging contributions to the development of methods, tools and evaluation strategies relevant to the field. Submissions from across all components of the Earth system, i.e. land, atmosphere, cryosphere, biosphere and hydrosphere (freshwater and marine), and exchanges between these components are welcome. The full scope may be found here.

A research Letter in ERL should form a brief (up to 4000 words in the main body of the article), timely and important contribution to environmental science deserving rapid publication. In particular a Letter should report new and original research of outstanding quality that makes significant advances in a subject of particular current interest to the environmental science research community. In addition, the impact and style of an ERL article should be such that it will appeal to the journal’s very broad, interdisciplinary readership.

The requirements for ERL articles are not only that they make a significant advance in the field and are of outstanding quality, but also that the article is either cross-disciplinary in approach, or would be of interest to readers outside of the main discipline of the paper.

Please, be aware that manuscripts submitted to the ERL will go through the normal publishing in ERL procedure: the normal peer review process for ERL involves a preliminary check of all new submissions by the editorial office and/or the Editorial Board, and articles deemed not to meet the above criteria are rejected without further full peer review.

Articles in the ERL, as they are open access ones, are charged accordingly with the information available here.

Environmental Impact Assessment Review (EIA Review) is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal serving a global audience of practitioners, policy-makers, regulators, academics and others with an interest in the field of impact assessment (IA) and management. The focus of EIA Review is on innovative theory and practice that encompasses any of the above mentioned impacts and activities. The full scope of the journal may be found on the journal’s homepage.

There are two options of publishing papers in this journal (depending on the number of manuscripts): publish in a regular and special issue.

All articles are free of charge.

Energy & Fuels publishes reports of research in the technical area defined by the intersection of the disciplines of chemistry and chemical engineering and the application domain of non-nuclear energy and fuels. This includes research directed at the formation of, exploration for, and production of fossil fuels and biomass; the properties and structure or molecular composition of both raw fuels and refined products; the chemistry involved in the processing and utilization of fuels; fuel cells and their applications; and the analytical and instrumental techniques used in investigations of the foregoing areas. More information is available on the journal’s homepage.

Energy and Fuels proposed the publishing of scientific papers in a special section of the regular issue.

All articles are free of charge.

Environmental Science and Pollution Research (ESPR) serves the international community in all areas of Environmental Science and related subjects with emphasis on chemical compounds. The full scope of the journal may be here.

The journal offers the publishing of articles in a special issue (maintaining of the issues numeration) containing minimum 8 articles. The special issue will feature both critical reviews and research papers. Here are some further details on the different paper types. A review is expected to present a critical overview of the state-of-the-art of a topic, with critically selected examples (not only from your own work), to point the reader to trends and likely future developments and to give a selection of important references to the current literature.  For a research paper, paper length must be appropriate to content. There is no strict page limit. You will find the journal’s instructions for authors on the ESPR homepage.

All articles are free of charge.

Chemical and Process Engineering publishes papers on original and significant experiments and/or mathematical modelling for momentum, heat and mass transfer, which may also be accompanied by chemical/biochemical reactions. The experiments and modelling cover different scales and processes ranging from the molecular phenomena up to production systems. The Journal is a peer-reviewed, quarterly magazine with over 50-year tradition, now aiming at applications in chemical, biochemical and various process industries.

All manuscripts submitted for publication in Chemical and Process Engineering must comprise a description of original research that has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. The content, aim and scope of the proposals should comply with the main subject of the journal, i.e. they should deal with mathematical modelling and/or experimental investigations on momentum, heat and mass transfer, unit processes and operations, integrated processes, biochemical engineering, statics and kinetics of chemical reactions. The experiments and modelling may cover different scales and processes ranging from the molecular phenomena up to production systems.

Please, be aware that manuscripts submitted to the ChPE will go through the normal publishing in ChPE procedure.
